Beanies were gifted to Mrs. Clark's 5th grade class. These were made by Mrs. Eldridge, a teacher from our school, and crafted using yarn that was found in Mrs. Clark's class after her passing. We hope these students will enjoy and cherish this special gift and also have it bring joy in remembrance of Mrs. Clark and the impact she left behind.

Bringing imagination to life. First-graders at Iron Springs Elementary received an early Christmas gift thanks to the work of Cedar Middle School art students. The first-graders were tasked with designing their favorite monster, including descriptions of its habitat and eating habits. The drawings and descriptions they created were then given to middle school students to bring to life out of a sculpture. Arts Integration Specialist Kirsten Anderson presented the special gifts to students Tuesday. Cries of delight were present as each child compared their 3D monster to the one they envisioned. It's a moment many will remember and cherish for years to come.

We had our November IRON Assembly this past week. Our Student Council shared a skit about proper behavior in our Assembly's and reviewed the importance of showing respect to others who come and share their time with us during assemblies. Mr Grimm announced our monthly drawing winners. One student from each grade is drawn to win either lunch with the Principal or a classroom set of playground balls. Two students in each grade also received a free pizza from Centro Pizza for going above expectations in showing IRON (Integrity, Respect, Ownership, Now) Mr. Jenkins ended the assembly by honoring several teachers, Mrs. DeWeese, Mrs Esplin, Mrs. Jessen, Mrs. Bulloch, and Mrs. Marshall for their efforts in showing IRON.
