We had an eventful Red Ribbon Week that ended with our Halloween parade. Students wore red ribbon bracelets and signed a banner pledging to be drug free. There were cute cowboys and cowgirls on Wednesday and all kinds of fun costumes Friday.

This week is STEM week at Fiddlers Canyon Elementary. We have had fun activities for the students at lunch recess and welcome all to come to our STEM night Thursday!
Congratulations to our new Student Council Mayor, Assistant Mayor, and Secretary. Each class 2nd through 5th also has a representative that is on student council this year.
The annual 9/11 memorial assembly took place at 9 am on the front lawn. There was patriotic music, a speaker, flag ceremony, and SUU aviation fly over.
Fiddlers Canyon Elementary has had some great events in the week since school started. Monday, August 11th, we had a great turn out for Back to School Night. Monday, August 18th was the annual Back to School Bash hosted by our PTA. There was popcorn, yard games, foam, and food trucks! Thanks to all who have participated and made these events a success!




Children need healthy meals to learn. Iron County School District offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.75; lunch costs (K-5) $2.75, (6-12) $3.00. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price is $.30 for breakfast and $0.00 for lunch for the 25-26 school year. Join Iron County School District for a patriotic concert on Friday, July 4. Two performances are scheduled at Canyon View High School at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This Country features familiar music from Aaron Tippin, Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, Brooks and Dunn and Toby Keith. On the guitar and lead vocals is Superintendent Dr. Lance Hatch. He will be joined by Cole Stanley, CVHS Student, on lead guitar; Ellis Lambeth, CVHS student, on drums; Freya Carlson, a paraprofessional at East Elementary, on bass; Holly Thornton, Post High teacher on the fiddle and Jacob Chipman, CVMS choir teacher on piano/vocals.

The last day of school was full of fun for the Fiddlers Mustangs! We started our day with a 5th grade versus teachers kickball game and ended the day "clapping out" our 5th graders! Have a wonderful summer!



We had our end of year awards ceremony today. We are so proud of the many achievements of our students. The number of exceptional attendance students was amazing! It has been a great school year full of many great achievements.
We had 36 Mustangs participate in the regional track meet today! We are so proud of their performances whether it earned them a medal or not. It was a great day to be a Fiddlers Canyon Elementary Mustang and hear the cheering and camaraderie among students 3rd through 5th grade!
The fourth grade performed their Utah program for the school and then parents. They have put in a lot of time on learning songs, it showed! The enthusiasm and singing was enjoyed by all!
Congratulations to our Mustang Medallion Achievers! This is a year long process and we are so proud of you!






The PTA hosts an annual Color Run for our Fiddlers Canyon Elementary Mustangs. The kids have a great time getting colored and throwing it!
The fifth grade class performed their program for us last week and did an exceptional job. The Patriot Program is the highlight of the learning that happens in fifth grade.





We had an award ceremony today where all students were greeted by our student council mayor, Beau C., and assistant mayor, Carter W. We had several students receive a national award for their excellence in Chinese writing; Aspen C., Sydney M., Madison P., Dayla M., Madilyn H., McKinlee S., and Ellie B. We also had a Aurora H. win the "Read for Success" prize of a new bike and opportunity to go to Loveland Living Planet Aquarium to receive her prize and be honored. Finally, we were able to get out awards for excellent attendance during the previous quarter. Way to go Mustangs!
We are proud of our Fiddler's Mustangs, Nova and Jagger! They participated in the district spelling bee today.
Congratulations to our spelling bee winners!! The first place winner was Jagger H. in 5th grade. Our second place winner was Nova B. in 4th grade. And third place this year went to Arya R. in 4th grade. Congratulations Mustangs! We wish you well at the regional spelling bee!
